Update for Student Scheme applicants in respect of COVID-19

Given the uncertainty regarding international travel caused by the COVID-19 virus, the Simon Cumbers Media Fund is extending the completion date for projects awarded funding under this year’s Student Scheme to June 2021. This means that this year’s recipients will have an additional six months to travel to one of Irish Aid’s partner countries to report on development issues for Newstalk or TheJournal.ie. The closing date for this year’s Student Scheme is Monday, 23^rd March 2020.
