Journalists and media professionals interested in travelling to report on global development issues can now apply for funding under the summer 2016 round of the Simon Cumbers Media Fund.
The Fund is designed to facilitate coverage of development issues in the Irish media. It was set up by Irish Aid, the Government’s programme for overseas development, in memory of Irish journalist Simon Cumbers, who was killed while on assignment in Saudi Arabia in 2004.
Full details on how to apply are available in the funding section.
An information session for media professionals interested in applying will be held in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade at 11am on Thursday, 14th April 2016. Those who wish to attend the information session can register by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, including “Dublin Information Session” in the subject line.
The deadline for the receipt of submissions to the summer 2016 round is Friday, 13th May at 5pm.
