In 2009, documentary filmmaker Aoibheann O’Sullivan and producer Martha O’Neill of Wildfire Films received funding from the Simon Cumbers Media Fund to document a radio soap opera that communicates topical issues to its listeners in Nigeria.
‘Tuned In’ follows the production of ‘Story Story’ which is now in its 17th series. The radio soap opera aims to strengthen civil society and promote good governance by training local journalists and encouraging the role of the local media in the production of the soap.
The short documentary film ‘Tuned In’ scooped a Radharc Award for Digital Media in October 2010.
