Jason O’Brien was a recipient of the the summer 2013 round of the Simon Cumbers Media Fund. Jason travelled to Port-au-Prince Haiti with photojournalist Mark Condren after the catastrophic earthquake in January 2010. Mark and Jason recently returned to Haiti to look at the effectiveness of aid and the emergency response, the ‘before and after’ of individual peoples’ lives, and their views on relief effort, four years after the world’s media has left and moved onto other humanitarian disasters.
