Mary Fitzgerald was a recipient of the summer 2011 round of the Simon Cumbers Media Fund. Mary traveled to Uganda to look at the growing middle class that is emerging. The series of reports explore how this middle class is providing the backbone of economic changes that are attracting billions of euros of foreign capital and changing the face of the world’s poorest continent.
