In 2009, Paul Loughran from NEAR FM was awarded funding under the Simon Cumbers Media Fund to produce and present a live broadcast for the duration of Irish Aid’s flagship Africa Day celebration in the Iveagh Gardens. The aim of his project is to give listeners a taste of African dance, culture, storytelling and food.
