Tadhg O’Sullivan was awarded funds under the Simon Cumbers Media Fund in 2008. In January 2009, he travelled to the West Bank where he spent a month at Al Quds Educational Television in Ramallah.
His film explores how the internationally funded and politically independent public service broadcaster struggles to stay on the air in a saturated broadcast landscape.
The 25 minute film was for Al Jazeera’s Witness strand and was broadcast worldwide in November 2009. It can be seen in two parts here and here.
