Third-level students interested in reporting on development issues for a national media outlet are invited to attend a workshop for prospective applicants to the 2018 Simon Cumbers Media Fund Student Scheme on Tuesday, 6th March at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, 80 St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2.
The workshop will commence at 6pm and will run for one hour. It will be followed by a networking reception. Students wishing to attend are asked to RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, 5th March, putting “Dublin workshop” in the subject line.
The workshop will be attended by a member of the Student Scheme judging panel and former RTÉ broadcaster, Rodney Rice, as well as representatives from Irish Aid and the Fund administrators. They will be on hand to provide details of the 2018 Student Scheme, including the themes and guidelines that must be observed by applicants.
Applications to the Student Scheme must be submitted online through our website by Wednesday, 28th March 2018. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend for interview with the mentors and a representative from Irish Aid. Full details about the scheme and application process are available here.
